dont get me wrong glen. i have seen joe helping a lot of people. please dont abuse him. he is trying to be helpful and knows a lot. even if you feel his information is wrong, everyone here gathers information from others and can then take their own decisions. i have no idea of process numbers and their privacy. but i just wanted to warn others on giving information to unknowns. there are no user id's here. anyone can put their name as joe. and copy joes name pretending to be him. people can change their names everyday. so please be careful. if your identities get stolen then your wait will be longer.

Everyone
Hi people. many have been very helpful on this forum & without them i wouldn't have reached this far. I have been reading comments. would like to just caution everyone about providing sensitive information to unknow people. we know of peoples identities getting stolen (by agents/lawyers). so even thou people are helpful, we have to safe guard our own interests. i am not saying anyone is bad. but just warning people to not provide your personal information, even registration numbers, details of birth teors, your name, birthdates, location, address, adhar etc. or copies of your documentation to others who you do not know.

I too had a prob with my name in the marriage certificate.
However I am from Mumbai.
I made corrections in my church marriage certificate although I had a civil one too..

I took wrote a letter to the archbishop house in Mumbai. They changed the name basis my other documents ie birth certificate...
They then issued a letter to my parish priest where I got married and the parish priest then updated my name accordingly.
You could check an see if the same applies in Goa too.

I did not send my civilmarriage cert to Portugal for marriage registration hence did not change that.

Joe, please don't get disheartened by the negative comments here. Every time someone on this forum becomes popular and helps others then certain elements wake up and start posting negative and hurtful comments. You can scroll back in time on this forum and see for yourself. Their goal is to have you get irritated and fed up while they continue giving wrong advice here. The truth you are preaching hurts them a lot.
