I have submitted my post sixty one Mumbai Birth registration in Nov twenty one last year. So far no news. I'm on a Portuguese consulate WhatsApp group where someone mentioned they submitted their post case in February twenty one and still haven't got any information. Hope this information is of use to you.
Its almost half December n there is no news of bi appointment no one has any idea of whr the dates has been reached
Can anyone in the group help us with some information, that when had you or any person known to you, have received Mumbai Birth Registered in Portugal.
Also information about when had you or that person submitted their papers.
This information will help us to analyse our pending cases.
Thanks in advance
I've I been on this forum since twenty eighteen and honestly I have got a lot of information and help from various people in this forum. I too have been helping people whenever I thought there was something that I knew I'd know best because I've been through it.I suggest to just ignore all the negative people on this group. In every group be it WhatsApp or families, every relationship, friendship, office, there are positive and negative people. we hang around with the positive and we ignore and block out the negatives. so whatever is irrelevant on this group please ignore it and all the people who are helping please continue to do so. thank you for all your help. Btw this negativity was there even in Twenty eighteen and yet I was able to get very very important and relevant information here. So just take it with a pinch of salt. And pls don't give me any negativity by trolling me here. I'm saying what I have experienced. Cheers to a good weekend!
This pages horrible I don't get any proper information on this . I have Stark around for help
It seems like some people have no aims or goals in life that they have to spam and use profanity on this group.
PLEASE STOP IMMEDIATELY !!!
This blog is a resourceful blog for those in need !!!
Please update if any ones Mumbai Birth registration is done lately

Your hold case has nothing to do with your BI.
You have to submit your Indian passport with fourteen days after collecting Portuguese Passport,
I repeat after collecting your Portuguese Passport.
BI has no role here.
Birth Registration has nothing to do with your case. It's the BI that has caused the problem for you which is a valid ID proof. Once your ID proof gets issued you loose your Indian citizenship and can no longer renew or apply for your Indian documents. I hope they will impose a hefty fine and then start the process. You need to follow up regularly with them to avoid getting delays.
Your surrender certificate application may be rejected or may end up in a court process. When issuing your new Indian passport you were fully aware that your birth registration was done. Therefore you have applied falsely and hence your case is moved to hold. The fine is only for travel done after obtaining birth registration. But knowingly issuing a new Indian document after birth registration is illegal by law. Sadly no one is willing to do any due diligence and relying blindly on agents. Your Portuguese BI and passport has nothing to do here, its your birth registration.
