Dont act dumb. Lawyers wont charge you 175 euros, 1175 are the professional lawyer charges to submit the case on your behalf. Dont be a smart ass!

Samarth, i received my assento last week with process number 49xxx/2017/ my process was concluded last month on May 3rd and my lawyer got last weeks completion date and he sent me the copy of assento. if your process is straight forward den you will surely get an update soon. if all names match and BC verifiable online

Who said its 1175 Euros? My submission receipt from CRC says 175.00 euros only. Post 1961 birth. Nonsense!!!! 1175 euros? Even on CRC website its mentioned 175 euros only

Thank u for understanding me my case is with Miguel Reis itself he submitted my process on 01/08/2016 on 30/07/2018 will complete 2 years. And why are u saying that my case is unique? It is not unique i was in Diu in 1950 that is why i have all rights to have Portuguese nationality.

Miguel charges 1175 EU so how does payment goes 50% once file is made and 50% after completion when birth is been reg in Portugal ?

here are three stages to acquire Portuguese Nationality.



1. Birth registration of citizen born in former Portuguese State of India (€ 1000)



• Birth certificate of the person

• Death certificate of the person (in case he/she passed away)

• Old documents, such as his/her parent’s birth or baptism, civil or church marriage certificate, old bilhete de identidade, Portuguese passport, documento para viagem, etc.

• Residence certificate from 1974 to 1975

• True copy of the applicant’s passport

• Power of attorney



2. Marriage registration (€ 620)



• Marriage certificate

• Birth certificate of the applicant’s husband or wife

• Power of attorney



3. Birth registration of child of Portuguese citizen born abroad (€ 1175)



• Birth certificate of the child

• True copy of the applicant’s passport

• Power of attorney



ü Please note that every document that is written in other language than Portuguese must be translated by the official translator and notarized.

ü All the documents should be apostilled or legalized in a Portuguese embassy or consulate.

ü Additional identity proof is required i.e. copy of Aadhaar Card or Voting Id.

ü All Birth and Marriage documents filed in the process are subject to verification.

ü It is mandatory to submit a duly attested photo copy of Indian Passport of the applicant in all new and on-going processes.

ü The cost mentioned above are subject to change.

ü The above mentioned cost does not include the paper work that is to be completed in India.
