Comments on this Consulate-General
My agent is not accepting my baptism certificate and is insisting on my municipal birth certificate. She said that for marriage registration of a Portugal national with an Indian national you need the Indian national's civil / municipal birth registration. But I've never used a municipal birth certificate anywhere. I don't even have one. I've always only used my baptism certificate for passport and even visas they accepted. Is there any place where it is Mentioned that to register marriage between Portuguese spouse and India national, the Indian spouse baptism certificate will do? So that I can quote that to my agent as she is adamant for my municipality birth certificate. I live in Mumbai.
Here when we even correct a single alphabet in Gj the collector and Mamlader do not sign it even after we give all proofs. It's all when we have a local court order then they make a move.
The correction is made by affidavit but they won't remove the last/surname as well.
Any guidance or suggestions
