I would like some information regarding the obtaining of a Visa to Nigeria.
I am an English Teacher currently residing in Istanbul.I wish to travel to Nigeria during the winter holidays I.e late December 2014/early January 2015.
Can you please advise me on the quickest and surest way of obtaining a Tourist Visa.

I'm a student and a business lady all at once. I'm Nigerian. I wish to know how to go about shopping in turkey. And the most accepted currency used in the markets. Then I've been made to understand that Turks hardly understand the English language. Is there a community of Nigerian students there in turkey? I'd really need a familiar person to guide me around. I have so many concerns before I make the trip.

Dear sir/madam,
I sluggishly write this letter to the Nigerian embassy in Ankara Turkey because the entire applicants from Nigeria are not happy and we are very sad.
In 2013 many of us applied to the turkiye burslari scholarship, unfortunately, there was no interview for us. We tried all our best to know why but no one was able to give us a reason. Not the Turkish embassy here in Nigeria nor turkiye burslari team itself. All we got were apologies and that it was a technical error. We accepted and hopefully we applied again this year (2014).
Now it is 2014 the interviews are almost completed but no single student from Nigeria got any call for interview, at least one person out of us should be worthy of interview if the rest are poor. My fear is that this was how we were very patient and kept hoping last year till the very end, but at the end we were humiliated. There was no interview let alone acceptance.
Maybe it is because Nigeria is not peaceful right now, hence I can understand if it were for security reasons. But our networks are not sick; we all have a Skype account. We are even crazy right now because we do not know what our offense is, we are beginning to think that maybe turkiye dislike Nigeria or maybe we are all just too unintelligent to deserve it. For all I know Nigeria did not offend turkiye, we are in good diplomatic ground with them, so why was only Nigeria not interviewed last year? And why until now there is no interview for single person in Nigeria?
However, I understand that turkiye burslari team has the total right to disqualify or scrap out any country from the scholarship for whatsoever reason. But if Nigeria has been scrapped, then why give us hope? Why is Nigeria still on the list of eligible countries? Why the humiliation? Why do they allow us to even apply?
Finally, I still believe that last year was a technical error until no single person gets the scholarship again this year, but if the same technical error repeats itself this year again, that means YTB is not fair to us and we have only been deceived. I urge the embassy to help us in anyway possible.
