Info on Ancestral Visa for Mauritius
Hi, My grandfather was born in Mauritius and was an Honourable citizen of Mauritius. My mother had a Mauritian birth certificate although her ID is South African now. Is there a way that we can apply for an Ancestral Visa for my family and I. I am not sure of teh whereabouts of their ID'S and birth certificates - Is there a way we can trace this either from South Africa or Mauritius.

Kindly give me more info regarding the subject to laurelle.huet@gmail.com

Thank You
Nadine

Ancestral Passport/visa
Good Day,

Both my parents were born in Mauritius. My dad has since passed and my mom is still alive. I do still have family living there.
How do I go about getting an Ancestral Passport/Visa for myself and my partner?

Please can you respond via tazmania_again@hotmail.com

Thank you.

Emergency passport
To whom it may concern,
South African Home Affairs has erroneously put a block on my 12 year old son's passport. We only found this out at OR Tambo airport after having travelled from Cape Town.
We are now sitting at the airport unable to travel and Home Affairs is telling us that the quickest documentation we would be able to get is an Emergency Passport. I'm aware that you have a policy regarding Emergency Passports but would like to please appeal to you to make an exception in this case - he is a minor child traveling on a family holiday.
Please could someone please call me urgently on +27836786788?
Thanks,
Patrick

Passport
Good day,
We applied for a passport for our son on 29 October 2014.
The other three family members do have passports.
We have booked and paid in full for our holiday in Mauritius.
A high ranking official of the fingerprints department has just confirmed that they have a problem with the new system and cannot get the fingerprints registered. They cannot issue a passport without the fingerprints on the system.
Would you accept an Emergency Travel Certificate in this case as this is the only solution Home Affairs can offer us. We need an answer ASAP as we still have to apply and receive the document before 29 Dec'14.
Please help us we are desperate.
Kind regards Riëtte Fechter info@overmeergh.co.za

Passport
Good Day

On the 14 November 2014, my wife and I applied for a passports for our 2 sons aged 13 and 15 to Travel to Mauritius on the 29 Decemer

To date we have received the younger son's Passport (13) but not the older sons'.

We only have until the 24 of December to collect the passport as for the public holidays. There seems to be a back log and it seems my son's passport will not be ready in time

IF the passport is not ready by 24th, would it be possible to apply for a Emergency Travel Certificate in this case?

Kind Regards
Deon
