My mother born in Mauritius on the 15 July 1915. As her daughter, is it possible that I may apply for a Mauritian passport and if so how do I go about getting a copy of her birth certificate and what other documents would I require?

I have dual nationality (Angola and Portuguese) and my husband (Angola) would like to travel to Mauritian and was wondering how to apply for a visa.
My Grandparents were both Born in Mauritius they moved over to south africa very young, they became south african citizens. They have now both passed away and I am wondering if i could apply for an ancestral visa/passport?
I am traveling to Mauritius from 28 Aug 2015 - 6 September 2015. My passport is valid until 20 October 2015. Will this be a problem with ref to the 6 months rule?
