I am actually disappointed at the way the passport replacement issue is turning out. I submitted my application on the 10th September 2012, intending to travel home in December, but as I write now, I have not received the passport. How can people in their right minds, decide to introduce new passports, and put a deadline for the use of the old ones, yet they did not put in place a contigency plan to deal with the influx of applications? How on earth do you go ahead and abolish the use of passport that have not expired and yet you cannot replace them? This was just a gimmick for the GVT to raise money. We are stuck and are not able to go home when we need to because of incompetant people who make changes without preparing for them. It stinks Really!
Am currently staying in Cape Town and would like to have police clearance from Malawi within three months. What do i do?

I need to renew my passport at the embassy ,please heip me with the price couse I stay in cape town
I stay in Botswan and applied for a renewal of my passport in December 2012. My stay is now getting complecated because I do not have the passport up to now. I can not get a residence permit, I can not travel because if I try I will be held until the embassy comes to clarify my case. My worry is that if the passport can not be made in three months, it means I will rot in jail if i am to expect representatives from my embassy to help. Why is it that passports take so long when people who are in Malawi can get their pasports in three days time? Why should things be like that? Is there no one who can just do the right thing for the sake of it? I am really frustrated !
