scholarships
i successfuly concluded a 6 months certificate in italian language at makerere university in april 2010 and emerged the best student.i was suprised to learn from the embassy that i could not be awarded a scholarship for a degree in italian language in italy because there doesnt exist any bilateral agreement between uganda and italy concerning scholarships??????i was so dissapointed..which has left me wondering till today as to what is the importance of the cultural department in an embassy/..its soooooo sad and i discourage anyone intending to do a course in italian language with intention of getting a scholarship to excercise italian as a proffession in the future---as it stands diplomatically no one can be accorded a scholarship from uganda.
