ان نسب بنو هاشم  يعود الى ام هاشم وهي زوجة عبد شمس لان لعبد شمس كان زوجتان زوجه حره عربيه  وله ولد منها وهو اميه وزوجة عزبيه كان ابرهه قد اعتدى عليها عندما اراد تهشيم وهدم الكعبه  فنسب عبد شمس هذا الغلام الى محاولة ابيه ابرهه تهشيم وهدم الكعبه فسماه هاشم نسبة الى تهشيم الكعبه  هذا وقد حدثت  هذه الحادثه في زمن عبد شمس و ليس كما يزعم بنوا هاشم الذين زوروا التاريخ  في زمن الدولة العباسيه حتى لايعرف  احد ان جد بني هاشم هو ابرهه وخير دليل على ذلك ان اغلب بني هاشم ذوي بشرة دكناء واغلب بنو اميه ذوي بشرة بيضاء هذا وقد زعم بنوا هاشم ان النبي محمد قد ولد في عام الفيل والحقيقه ان الذي ولد في عام الفيل هو هاشم جد النبي محمد  كل ذلك قراته في كتاب  مكتوب في زمن الدوله  العباسيه  واسم هذا الكتاب نوادر بني هاشم وقد كتب ايام الدولة الامويه ولكن زيد فيه ايام العباسيون
