Not a good experience.
I applied for a short term tourist visa to Indonesia,,,, visiting Jakarta and Bali. I submitted my application on 2nd February, 2017. after 14 days I was told that my visa has been transferred into calling visa,,,, and I simply need to wait not knowing how long,,,, they give absolutely no time frame or a clue,,, not even a reference no. I have a company in Indonesia which sponsored me, until now,,, No news,,, and I am seriously thinking of withdrawing my case. Very pathetic behavior of stay at the consulate and can't put two words together in English.

You should know that

13.NORTH KOREA (Total 13 countries) from nationals of the following countries need an approval from Immigration Office in Indonesia before traveling. Indonesian Calling Visa for Pakistan & all these countries peoples it is too much hard. You should know that to get Indonesian Visa must need any sponsor from Indonesia who will sponsor to any foreigner. Without Indonesian sponsor foreigner cannot get any visa for Indonesia.

You should know after reach Indonesia many Afghan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Sri lankan peoples goes to Australia even illegal. Due to this Pakistani peoples also have very bad record in Indonesian Immigration. I think you know this in most of cases Indonesian Embassy Islamabad, Pakistan very hardly accept visa applications from Pakistani Visitors. If any Pakistani get visa and come to Indonesia sometimes on Jakarta Airport Indonesian Immigration officer did not give them permission to enter in Indonesia and send back them in next flight to their own country Pakistan because Indonesian Immigration is not sure this is Pakistani or Afghan & is real tourist or just want to move Australia illegal.

About Indonesian visa for Pakistani visitors
If apply visa on behalf of yours girl/boy friend's sponsor documents, Then need all these documents.

Required documents from Indonesian company or personal Sponsor:

1- KTP ( NIC )
2- Kartu Keluarga ( Family Card )
3- Letter from RT, RW, KELURAHAN

4- Your Sponsor should have sufficient financial position proof such as Bank account statement, that show bank balance /money/Saldu (Minimum) 15-20 Juta / Million Indonesian Rupiah or (Minimum) US$.10000 Maximum any in his/her bank account. At the time of he/she provides Bank Account Statement to Immigration office Jakarta, Indonesia.

5. A letter from his/her work place that he/she is working in this office, mentioning her job designation, salary, designation, work or Company documents.

He/She will be called 3x (3 times) Interview CH/meeting in DIREKTUR JENDERAL IMMIGRATION Office Jakarta. In every interview/ CH meeting a team of all these departments will get interview with him/her.

Officer of Indonesian National Intelligence Agency ( BIN----Badan Intelijen Nasional )
Officer of Indonesian Police department ( Polisi Polda Metro Jaya )
Officer of Indonesian ministry of foreign affair ( Deplu---Departemen Luar Negeri)
Officer of Indonesian ministry of interior ( Depdagri---Departemen Dalam Negeri)
Officer of Indonesian Strategic Military Intelligence Agency (BAIS ---Badan Intelijen Strategis (from Militer)
Officer of Indonesian the National Anti-Drug Agency (BAN---Badan Anti Narkoba Nasional)
Officer of Indonesian Department of Human Rights ( Departemen Hak dan Asasi Manusia)

And other 9 staff from the Office of Director General Immigration.

If in all 3 interviews he/she will satisfied reply to this team with all correct answers next Immigration will grant visa for you. Mostly these meeting will be held for 30-30 minute’s period. In these 30 minutes all this team questioning to him/her and he/she only will answer to this team.

Required documents from Pakistani Visitor side:

FOR INDONESIAN EMBASSY

1. Original & Photo copy of Passport all used/stamped/previous visa pages.
2. Original & Photo copy of National Identity Card ( front and back page )
3. Present clear photograph (without cap or Eye glass) size 3 x 4
4. Letter of invitation/ Sponsor letter and guaranty letters from Sponsor
5. Copy of Airline Ticket ( Confirm Reservation required )

6. Last 3 Months Bank Account statement deposit money (estimate USD.2000-3000 ( or in Pak Rupees) Minimum in this bank account.

7. Reference letter from your employer/office addressing visa officer, Maintaining your
job, duration of service and detail of visit purpose, NOC for holiday’s , and period of
holidays.

8. Copy of National Tax number ( Tax certificate or copy of NTN Card )
9. Police Character Certificate from nearest Police station ( Police Department )
10. A affidavit
11.Medical Certificate (HIV/ Aids test report) from any best hospital.
12. Visa Application form ( Visa application apply by online )

NOTE : Granting of visa is depend on physical verification and fulfillment of the required documents.

All documents that sponsor/We will email to you, next you will go to Indonesian Embassy to submit all these documents. After submit documents you will receive a receipt. But you must ask reference number ( It also called case file number). This case file number Embassy will issue may be after 2-3 days. So this file number proof you will scan & send to sponsor by email or sms us next your sponsor/spouse will continue process here in Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affair and next in Director General Immigration office Jakarta.

After you send to sponsor this file number, your visa process complete in Immigration office Jakarta within 21-28 working days and calling visa ( Telex ) 30 days visa will issue from Director General Immigration office Jakarta. This telex your sponsor will email to you even from DIREKTUR JENDERAL IMMIGRATION office Jakarta this telex directly will email to Indonesian Embassy through Immigration office official email but you will also bring this telex to Embassy and pay legal fee USD.50/- Visa fees in Embassy. After payment you will get payment proof also from Embassy. After you pay USD. 50/= may be within 2-3 days your passport will return back to you with Indonesian Visa.
