Clear EC(G4510242) to get new passport from madurai passport office
Dear Sir,

I am Ahamed Rifayee Amutti residing at Old No21.A, New No 75, Rahmaniapuram North Street, Melapalayam, Tirunelveli, and Tamilnadu, India-627005.

On 04th march 2011 we (48 Indian Employee from marsa El brega oil field in Libya) have been came out from Libya on emergency evacuation due to political unrest and some of them were not able to collect our passports from employer while we left from the country, because our passport was with them for visa extension / Air Ticket purpose, which was lost. We had communication with Indian embassy in Libya and we were instructed to leave the country immediately even without passport. So we left from Libya on 03rd march 2011 and reached Egypt border salloop on 04 th march 2011.Indian embassy officials took us from there and issued Emergency certificates(EC) by Cairo Indian embassy to travel from Cairo to Mumbai via Bahrain, also they informed us whoever got EC those old passport will be cancelled and They have to apply for new passport submitting old passport copy and EC.But when we reached Mumbai the Mumbai emigration officials collected our original EC, issued EC Impound slip and instructed us to submit along with new passport application. Also informed the original EC will be send to concern passport office with in 15 days by Mumbai emigration passport control dept.

In My case my old passport (G4510242) was issued from Thrichirappalli passport office on 05th Sep 2007 and I have applied for a new passport on 22/03/2011 in Madurai, but as on today I have not yet received it. Current status as on 27/04/2011 onwards "Application has been transferred to policy section, Please See the PRO. But a week back the status was “police clearance has been received and your passport will be dispatched by 11th may 2011 subjected to clearance of all documents” (My all required original documents were already verified by Madurai passport office on 22/03/2011 while I applied) My Application file Number is MDUG00141811 in Madurai.

On 04th May 2011 I went to madurai passport office to see PRO.But I was told to go Enquiry counter, the verification officer told they are doing the process may be next week I may get my passport so no need to see PRO or and the status remains same then she asked me to contact over the phone for further details. So I called Madurai passport office on 12th may 2011 again I was told to come and meet PRO on 16th may 2011.

Today (16th May 2011) I went to Madurai Passport office to see PRO, but again I was told to go enquiry counter only. The verification officer told they already sent a letter to Cairo Indian embassy on 24th April 2011 to confirm the EC, which was issued to the concern passport holder on 04th March 2011 from Cairo embassy. So they advised no need to see PRO, once we get the confirmation from Cairo we will issue passport.

Also I spoke to Tiruchirappalli passport office on 16th May 2011 (Phone No +914312700699) and confirmed by the officer that the EC has not yet received from Mumbai passport control.

I got online appointment to meet Public Grievances Officer, Public Grievances Cell at Tiruchirappalli passport office on 19th May 2011 at 11.52 Hrs.

Our honorable Overseas Indian affairs and civil aviation minister Mr.Vayalar Ravi stated in Evacuated Libyan Malayalee association Trissur meets in kerala on 03rd April 2011 that he will try his best to solve the problem of evacuated people and will help them to get new passport very quickly without any further delay.

Kindly advise the followings

1. I have applied for new passport on 22nd March 2011 and the police clearance already done, Police verification clearance documents received at Madurai passport office on 20th April 2011, but still my passport is not issued, Please advice when I will get my passport

2. Is any information required or to be send to concern passport offices by Indian embassy in Libya or The Indian Embassy in Cairo (where our EC were Issued) to get new passport? if yes how long this process will take, kindly advise. My case madurai passport office already sent a letter to Cairo Indian embassy to confirm the EC but still there is no reply from their end,so madurai passport office awaiting for their reply for further process. Kindly do the needful to get my passport ASAP.

3. Is any official letter issued from External affairs ministry to the passport offices to issue the passport without any delay to the people whoever comes out from Libya on emergency evacuation?

For your information I lost my job and benefits due to emergency evacuation. Now I am jobless I have to search new job, for that I need my passport in my hand. Without that I can not apply for any abroad job. As you aware right now many job opportunities are available so that if you help me to get my passport in time will be highly appreciated. Kindly do the needful.

I am GAYADHAR JENA (senior Plumber) Indian (card no-14105).working in Libya Branch company name is J&P OVER SEAS LTD since 14 years.
My Income is only source for my family maintenance. Due to problem in Libya return back to India 4th March Tripoli to Cairo to Bahrain to Mumbai to Delhi. My flight no is GF-0056.I was unable to take my Passport. Therefore I pray to grant my Application and Release my Passport My EC No-E 6322068.
