INDIAN EMBASSY STAFF IN TRIPOLI STILL NOT RETURNED FROM TUNIS
I was staying in Tripoli all though out the Libyan Revolution and witnessd all the Crisis over here for the last Eleven months and am still in Tripoli.

This is to inform all concerned that the Indian Embassy in Tripoli is not re-opened even after Indian Governmnet recognized the New Libyan Goverment(by 16 November 2011).

When contacted our Embassy personnel in Tunis, where the Charge d'Affairs is presently stationed, he informed that they are still waiting orders/instruction from higher authroites in New Delhi, India.

We are over Five hundred Indians (whom I know)are still here in and around Tripoli. Several ofthem requires Consular Services and are waiting the Embassy to come back.

Several Embassies are already back and functioing in Tripoli.

The Indian School is also not yet opened and the wherabouts of the Principal and others are not known.

Request the concerend authorites to take urgent steps to re-open the Indian Embassy in Tripoli soonest that will enbale those evacuted during the Cris period to return and resume their jobs. The Employers say that they coulf re-call their former employees provided Indian Embassy is here in Tripoli.

Hoping for the best
