GMR in Maldives
Mr. Muley
Where were you when Maldivian Parliament protested the President, not to sign the deal with GMR unless approved by the parliament, which is required under our constitution. You should have then advised GMR of the risks involved.
Section 97 of Maldives Constitution

Executive shall not

(a) spend any public money or property;
(b) levy any taxation;
(c) obtain or receive any money or property by loan
or otherwise;
(d) provide any sovereign guarantees;
except pursuant to a law enacted by the People’s
Majlis.

robbery in Maldives
to be people who have commented here regarding indians being treated unfairly, i would like to tell u that it's not only Indians who are being treated in that manner. it has become a trend in this country because our social fabric has been destroyed. as for the increase in robbery and burglary cases, it is not only against foreigners that robberies occur. Even Maldivians suffer, and the police do not discriminate. I myself is a victim of robbery that occured some eight months ago and I am a Maldivian. I have not heard from the police since. So your claim of the police not helping you because you r a foreigner or a non-muslim has no basis. We have seen similar incidents in India, and we don't urge people not to go there.

bangalore
dear sir, in Bangalore airport the immigration offers are treating Maldivians very badly and talking also very rudely(badly),there the welcoming first people when we go India. please sir look into this matter because we treat all Indians are our big brothers and part of our body. for more than so many years both country was friendly & are brothers and sisters.and also they try to not allow Maldivians to India but we go India for medical or business reason with enough cash. sometimes they ask why you come to India so quickly and they say don't come go another country like Thailand ect...they try many ways to humiliate us at the airport.please please sir i beg you to look into this matter ASAP..
