Comments on this Consulate-General
I am 50 years old.. have been going to france for 4 years as i intend to marry my boyfriend... I am too old to legally work,, but he has suggested i look into a visa that will allow me to work in his company. Its impossible to get an appointment or speak with anyone.. I already have an existing visa for one year. but need to sort out the possiblity of working within his company. PLEASE... someone put some light on this.. is very frustrating.
My husband and I are visiting France in May and June 2013 can anyone please tell me where in Normandy can we do some research regarding my husband's french ancestors dating back to the 1300 or earlier or is it an impossible task?
The French family were called Pie-de-lievre anglicised into Pedeleur which became Pedler or Pedlar eventually.
where do we start?
thanks for any help.. email marg@keyearlyyears.com
(240 dollars).
I have spent 3 months trying to get I touch to renew my French passport. The phone lines simply do not work. I have since been in to get the relevant documents to renew my French passport which expireed in early to mid January.2012..I have sent back the papers with my new photos on them. Can someone please help me by confirming that the papers have been received and that i can meet the deadline of early to mid January when my old passport will have been expired 1 year. I am extremely stressed about this situation. My grandmother who has now passed on was involved in the French bank and knows some representatives high up in the consulate, perhaps I should draw on others contacts to speed up this process? Please call or email me ASAP. Thanks, Benjamin voltz. Ben@rocklive.com.au or 61 410620040 or 0410620040

Please note that the current French Consul- General in Sydney is M. EriC BERTI October 2012).
We hope that this site so-called "most accurate source for embassy information"!! will correct this page one day.
We are French citizens living in Melbourne.
Last year we spent two months trying to renew our French passports through the Melbourne French consulate.
Our supporting documents were sent to the Sydney Consulate and were apparently lost in the process.
The Sydney Consulate phone number listed on the net as 02 9283 2400 never answered.
We finally had to travel to Sydney only to be confronted by snotty bureaucrats who did not hide their displeasure to be disturbed by such annoying nuisance as Fench citizens trying to renew their passports. After being treated with such contempt we decided to spare ourselves more grief and simply do without our French passports.
