Terrible service, the person at the front desk (Kenia Garcia) is rude, provides wrong and contradictory information. My family and I had to go to the consulate several times due to the wrong information provided by her. The consul is nowhere to be found (he is always traveling) and everything has to be approved or signed through him (in person). No one answers the phone EVER. They are a real shame for the Dominican community.
I am wanting a friend who I met in the Dominican Republic to come visit me in Vancouver for a three week vacation. I have heard that it is very difficult for Dominican's to get a travel visa and that they have to have a significant amount of money in the bank or own land. Is this true? If so, how much money do they need to have in the bank? My friend works non-stop, but does not make a lot of money.
I live in Vancouver and want to obtain Dominican Residency.
Seems going to Toronto or doing it on line is the only way. No you can not apply from DR. For your first Residency permit is what the general opinion there is .
Hello I am a Canadian and live in Vancouver and want to move to Dominican Republic.I want to apply for residence so I can open a business there and live and work. Could you please tell what I need to do as it seems the office in Vancouver has closed so can this be done online. To travel to Toronto is a large expense for a visa. Is it possible for me to look after this once I am in the DR.
I am planing to go for about a month in May and then if possible return to stay in July.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
