I called to get information on passports and the man that returned my call was very rushed and did not allow me to finish. I figure he did not understand me and it was easier just to hang up. All I needed to know was who to make the check to and how much?

I was born in Colombia, became a U. S. citizen in 1968. There was no dual citizenship in 1968. I am going to Colombia in a few months. I have a U.S. passport. Do I need a Colombian passport also?

Soy una persona que ha tenido la oportunidad de viajar por muchas partes del mundo lo cual me ha hecho visitar, informarme y llamar a muchas embajadas/consulados...La peor atencion es la del consulado de Colombia en Chicago. Primero si contestan el telefono una vez al ano es un milagro!!! Segundo, los que contestas no saben dar informacion y aparte de eso son personas supremamente irrespetuosas que se nota a leguas que muy seguramente trabajan alli por palanca y no porque sean unos verdaderos profesionales en la materia. Tuve la oportunoidad de habalr con la secretaria del consul y fue una persona grosera, sin etica y desentendida con mis preguntas. Tercero, la maquina dice que deje mensaje y ellos seran devueltos mentira!! no lo hacen!! Por favor senores del consulado no mostremos la mediocridad que nos caracteriza dentro y fuera del pais, hagan algo bien, con gusto y profesionalismo por nuestro pais. Muchas gracias!!! ahhh y por favor hagan una real cambio con la pagina web ya que le falta actualizacion, claridad, colores diferentes y letras mas grandes para las personas mayores de edad que muy seguramente necesitaran ayuda con esa letra tan pequena. Colombianos tenian que ser!!! ahhhhh y por favor dejen de abusar con los precios de los tramites!!! POR FAVOR CAMBIO TOTAL DEL PERSONAL EN EL CONSULADO DE COLOMBIA EN CHICAGO!!!!!

Yo hice la solicitud para la renovacion de mi cedula #17,055,310 el 15 de Noviembre 2010 y quiero pasar por el consulado en Chicago la semana entrante para recogerla. Le agradezco su informacion.
