Regarding the results of the Law College Entrance Examination held to select students to the Sri Lanka Law College in August 2012
Regarding the results of the Law College Entrance Examination held to select students to the Sri Lanka Law College in August 2012.

We are students who sat for the Law College Entrance Examination for the selection of students to the Sri Lanka Law College on the 12th of August 2012. Although we sat for the Examination with an ardent effort, we came to know that we have not been selected when the results were released on the 14th of December. But our lecturers have a great understanding and expectation that we have be successful at the examination.

Although we took a painstaking effort to forward You the pass lists in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, we couldn’t obtain the necessary information from the Governing Body of the Law College. Looking at the pass lists of 2008, 2009 and 2010 we could easily see that the number of Muslim students who sat for the Examination in the Tamil Medium was much less. But when we looked at the pass lists of 2011 and 2012 it is clearly seen that the lot of Muslim students who sat for the Examination in the Tamil Medium and also those who didn’t sat have been successful.
 In 2008 the number of students selected for the admission to the Sri Lanka Law College was 261 and out of this there were only 04 Muslim students.
 In 2009 the number of students selected for the admission to the Sri Lanka Law College was 242 and out of this there were only 14 Muslim students.
 In 2010 the number of students selected for the admission to the Sri Lanka Law College was 237 and out of this there were only 09 Muslim students.

 In 2011 the number of students selected for the admission to the Sri Lanka Law College was 261 and out of this there were only 51 Muslim students.
 In 2012 the number of students selected for the admission to the Sri Lanka Law College was 309 and out of this there were only 78 Muslim students.

Hon. Sir, The Minister of Justice, Mr. Rauff Hakim undertook that post in 2010. It’s after that it was seen that the number of Muslim students who sat in the Tamil Medium selected for the Law College got much increased. There is a reason for the same. Sir, You can easily understand why it is so. When the results were released in the Law College Entrance Examination in 2011, when the responsible persons inquired from the President of Sri Lanka about the results, He stated that such things would not happen hereafter. The motive of the Muslim population is to fix up their strength and to get the country under their rule. There is nothing they don’t do. At the Law Entrance Examination Muslim students were passed injustically and they overcame one of their plans. It will be directly understood to the tourists who visit Sri Lanka, because it will be troublesome for the tourists who visit Sri Lanka from the Muslim population. To change this situation You can take action as a country which is given financial for the development in Sri Lanka.

The Law Profession is an honourable profession for more than hundred years in Sri Lanka. We have a great ambition to join this noble profession. Sir, this type of injustice should not be allowed to happen. It should be deprived from political influences.

Hon. Sir, if You kindly take an effort to give justice we are very grateful to You. We like to propose two ways of action, namely,
01. Recorrection of answer papers of the Law Entrance Examination.
02. Issuing the students the original results released by the Education Department.
We forward You this letter mainly because of the great expectation and belief for You. While we and future Law students will be benefitted if You take an interest in this matter, and give us justice, we are prepared to show our great honuor, respect and gratitude to You.

Thank You.
Yours truly,
Students who are faced with injustice.
