We have heard from maid agencies that several maids have been stopped by the Cambodian authorities to return to Malaysia after holidays.
My maid will be going back for holiday soon. Will she have difficulties returning? She has a valid passport extension and valid work permit.

Need to send money to cambodia
My maid wants to send money to her mother but her family does not have a bank account. What is the best way to send money??? my email is huitiang@gmail.com
Here is the requirement for the passport visa extension
1. You and your maid
2. Her Passport
3. Bank book under her name (not joint account). Preferably from Public Bank (as there are branches in Cambodian.)(if happen that the maid visa is expired in less than six months, you have to get a letter of recommendation from the embassy in order to open her personal saving account. or else, the bank will not allow you to do so.) email to nghu33@gmail.com if you need the scanned version of the letter, as i just went through all the troubles.
4. RM200 for the fees
Insurance is optional. No photo is needed.

I am trying to renew my maid passport. Call my maid agency Philimore was the cost is RM400 for passport and RM1065 for permit, insurance and FOMEMA. Then I asked if I just want the passport renewal only. The lady I spoke to started to give excuses that it will be problematic if I want to do it myself blah blah blah. I said I replied I have done that my previous Indon maid. Then she just said "up to you lah" then hang up the call.
I then tried call the Cambodia Embassy and to my surprise someone picked my call and answer my questions politely. Here is the requirement for the passport renewal.
1. You and your maid
2. Her Passport
3. Bank book under her name (not joint account) Preferably from Public Bank (don't know why)
4. RM200 for the fees

I am going to do that next Monday and hopefully everything goes well.

I WOULD LIKE TO BRING MY MAID TRAVEL TO HONG KONG AND SINGAPORE, ISN't need any visa?
My Cambodian maid 's passport has been renewed twice already in KL cambodian embassy . Her passport will be expiring in 27-2-2013. She wants to continue working with me for a few more years, so could you please advise how to renew her passport before June 2012 so that we can renew her working permit by July 2012.
