Confused...
I'm a malaysian working in brunei. My wife wanted to visit me for a few months in Brunei and she resides in kota kinabalu. So,we went to the brunei consulate in kota kinabalu to apply for one.And just like Sam Lee described,we were rudely told by the lady at the visa department that we werent allowed to apply for one in kota kinabalu and we had to do it here in brunei.I just went to the brunei immigration today and they informed me that we HAD and MUST apply for the visa at the brunei consulate in kota kinabalu.I'm confused.by right, the proper procedure would be to apply at any brunei consulate that the applicant is residing before entering brunei.I'm at a lost now.

Social Visit visa
Dear Sir/Madam,
My sister in law (Indonesian) is recently on 14 days visit to Brunei. She would like to extend her stay for a couple of months and is intending to apply through the Consulate in KK. How many days will it take to have her application approved?

RUDE RESPONSE BY THE STAFF AT BRUNEI CONSULATE
I'd just like to comment on the attitude of this lady working in the brunei consulate in Kota Kinabalu. Not only was she not helpful she just blatantly told off my sis that her visa application cannot be approved although she has obtained visa for several trips before. When asked for a reason why there was no problem in previous application of visa to brunei, she just said sometimes it is just not approved rudely, no specific reason was given. This is the type of staff that gives a bad name to the brunei consulate, pls ensure your staff would have better manners in serving potential travellers to Brunei.
