What is the processing time for Dependent Visa ?

Any idea please

Tourist VISA to SA
Hi All

I applied for a tourist VISA to South Africa on 2 May 2017 from the VFS in Mumbai. Almost five weeks later, my application has not been processed as yet. Is anyone in my position?

-Applied csv at vfs Mumbai on 7th april.
-With a job offer and motivation letter from the employer in SA
-Am currently employed in india, but have resigned from the services.Attached the appointment/offer letter, resignation approval email along with the visa application and also relieving letters from the previous employer
-Didn't sent any expedition letter as 60 processing days are yet to be completed
-Also have submitted the registration copy and sa-id of the employer in sa(but not attested)
-Above all, i have prior working experience in SA (business visas + work permits), this could have helped them to close the case sooner.But is my first CSV application.

Congratulations on getting your CSV. Can please confirm the following as I along with couple of my friends had submitted CSV application in the first week of March and are yet to receive an update.

1. When and where did you submit your application?
2. Was it with or without a job offer from SA employer?
3. Were you employed in India when you submitted your application? If yes, then did you submit any letter from your current employer stating that you are currently working.
4. Did you try to expedite your processing by sending a mail or by contacting embassy directly?

Above answers will help us understand why applications from March are being delayed.

Happy to inform that CSV has been issued.
Got a notification yesterday evening that 'processed application is handed over to blue dart for delivery'.
Collected it today morning with loads of anxiety as the outcome could be either ways.
By gods grace it was positive.

Vfs asked me to submit the below additional documents:

- Invitation Letter

- SA ID of the person sending the above Invitation Letter (Needs to be notary attested from SA)

Others:

- min. balance required in bank for bank statement : 13500 Rs

- Do we have to submit the current job relieving letter? : Not required if you have a job offer from SA employer.
Else, yes it is required as seen from the previous results that were posted here sometime back. (However, better to check with VFS and embasssy)

I need information about the documents required for CSV.

I have been through the list of documents on VFS site but additionally i heard that we need to submit the support letter from anyone in SA, his employment contract and visa or ID.

What is the min. balance required in bank for bank statement.

Do we have to submit the current job relieving letter?d
