Search for family members on BOA VISTA ,Capo Verde
Would the Postal Generals office have names of their recipients on the 10 Islands under its charge in the delivery of postal correspondence and or packages.
If it is possible to search the data to locate relatives names that I might be able to write to. There is the LIETE family also related, cousing of Assencao.
Thank you for your assistance.Eugenio

Seeking birth certificate of my father born in Cape Verde in the year 1887,March 12.
I have tried to locate a family history but at my age now most of the contacts have long passed on. He ahving been born in a Portuguese possion at the time and being so long ago-1887. I was wondering if the records/archives would be availabe toe if I traveled to Boston. Any assistance would be appreciated by anyone who might remember the Assencao family of Boa Vista,Cabo Verde. A sister Rita Maria is the only information I have other than he lived in New Bedford when he first arrived prior to being naturalized as a citizen in 1928.
