Comments on this Embassy
I kept my Portuguese nationality live in Sta. Cruz, Tenerife,Spain but change to British because when I went to renew my passport I found out that they have lost all my previous documents and refused to give me a receipt when they took my passport.
The Consul himself shouted at me saying that they are not travel agent and also refused to renew my passport.
Immagine if they loose my passport or deny that I have never been to their office? It is his word against mine.
It gave me the impression that the Consul was not prepared to do any work. He came late in the morning with bad mood. He was very rude. I was treated like a criminal.
Luckily I was married to a British citizen and I immediately changed my nationality.

I am visiting Madeira on 26 December for 2 weeks.I now understand that Dengue fever is an epidemic there ,so how safe is it.
I would like to visit Portugal officially from London. So where and how can i apply for the entry visa to Portugal?
Its better you go and see them personally, during business hours, dont call or email, them I dont think thats a good idea.
I was born in portugal i have lived in uk for past 40 years arriving here as a minor my passport has expired and i am trying to renew it have tryed to email portguese general council numerous accasions and no reply they also dont answer the telephone so decided to go to london to see if i could resolve the problem to be met by rudest and unhelpfull members of staff i never had the wish to change were i come from but i was ashamed to call myself portuguese he would not speak to myself in english my portuguese is on a rustyside he insisted that it has to be done by email but in fact there website says visas by appointement but not passports i am desperate dont know what to do next
