E-Passport in Calgary Canada since April 2010
Honestly, I feel completely disappointed and traumatized to date. I was among lots of Nigerian that applied for E-Passport in Calgary in April 2010. I did biometrics, paid all fees $65 and $35 money order, took picture and duly completed the application process. To date I am yet to collect the E-Passport. I was in Nigeria in 2011, I was told that I should go and collect it in Canada, I waited till May 2013, flew to Ottawa as I was told to come, again I was told I should go to Nigeria to collect the passport. Money and time wasted. This is absolutely ridiculous. I hope someone will resolve this problem

Name Printed Incorrectly on E-Passport
Dear Madam Helen & Oga Tony:

I am a Nigerian living in Calgary, Alberta. I applied for E-passport (Application ID: 6347022; Ref #: 1714982257) last month, and went to Ottawa as a result. About a week later, my new passport was mailed to me in Calgary with my Name Printed incorrectly as TIJANI instead of TIJJANI. I contacted the embassy several times , only to speak to a receptionist who kept telling me that I had to come to Ottawa again. All efforts to speak to a senior authority was to no avail. The questions I have asked and have not gotten any answers for were as follows:

1) Why do I have to appear at the embassy again considering the fact that I was there last month, and the embassy already has my biodata? Why cant I simply mail my new passport to the embassy, and have it
rectify whats obviously a mistake on its part?

2) Why do I have to make another costly journey, and be the one to
suffer for someone's mistake?

3) Why is it impossible to speak to an authority at the embassy who is
in a better position to address issues like this?

Please, I need help. It cost me a lot of money to travel to Ottawa the
last time. I would be very grateful if you could help resolve this problem without having to go to Ottawa again.

VERY DEDICATED STAFF
I was at the mission a week ago and met the immigration attache, madam Helen. In my 18 years of living in canada and coming to this mission, i have never met such a dedicated staff, ever ready to help her fellow Nigerians with ease. She and her colleague attended to all of us curteously. The beauty of it all was Madam Helen made sure we all left with our passports the same day which she produced for all of us. I am posting this to show my gratitude. Thank you so much.

I am so grateful for your help aunty Helen. I want to thank the Immigration Service for sending you to us in canada. But I would let you know that the evil ones would always gather together, but their gathering will always be in vain says the Lord. Well done Ma.
