My japanese mother
My Japanese mother met my Filipino father in Tokyo and got married in St. Ignatiius Church. It was registered in my mother's kosekitohon. They came to live in Manila and had three children. My mother had a hard time in the Philippines and worked hard to make ends meet.
She and my father separated in the 70's and my mother continued to work here. My father had remarried and have children from the second wife.My father passed away in 2006.I had just found out that my father never registered
their marriage with the DFA and they're not officially married here in the Philippines. My mother is 78 yrs. old and is diabetic. I just want to know if Japanese gov't still cares to check my mom's case and status and if she is still a Japenese citizen. My mom is very naive and didn't know that we were supposed to choose our citizenship of probably neglected it because of her situation. Pls. let me know who i should contact for my mother's case. or Pls. call 09998816121 or 9868925 ( manila)
