I am a Catholic who cares for the protection of animals! In 1968; a meow followed me home in ice-cold Edmonton; freezing; and was welcomed to my mother and dad for protection. Missy was not take care of then; and Alec and Margo gave her a warm blanket and sardines and milk then for dine! This was at 9317 -118 avenue and I thanked dad for helping Missy (I named). Later; a cute meow too; I named Jandy was lost during a rainstorm and whet; I brought the young kitten to my townhome (12345 – 109 St); and fed her cans of tuna and made a nice home and slept on my chair. A advert was posted and met the owner after I called to say your friend is with me warm and well! He paid me a reward of $20.00 and I gave the nice man cans of tuna for my friend I met.

Why I enjoy Mr. Saget and Mr. Bergeron; is the old fashion of Mr. Walt Disney and remember the movie “Old Yeller.” A remarkable American film of animals surviving alone. The point is real responsible citizens care for friends not with skin and make great companions; to protect our homes; add a smile; and bring warmth to all families.
I had one German Sheppard in my life Gypsy! Walking home one day from Catholic Elementary; nearing mom and dad’s home short-cutting with the alley three thug kids were ready to beat me up! I ignored them and walked fast home and Gypsy lunged fast to bite these interlopers!! She is a pure bread then and was very kind to me and had the boldest blue eyes and never rarely barked! I miss her!
As a Catholic I know all animals need protection and care!
In, 1993; I entered my mother Margo’s garage; in July; and a surprised squirrel female to me; was eating paper hungry! I was concerned; and told her or him; I am not an enemy. Please let me open the garage door and feed you outside! I explained to my mother Margaret that a cure fury friend is nee deep and hungry can I feed here peanut butter? The next day I did with a tree in our family home then and followed up with peanuts shelled!! She ate and opened perhaps with friends nearby and traced the wire-line electrical smiling and squeaking!!!
Today my separated family owns two great pals – cats! Janet, Evan and Julie take care of Beaver and Cinnamon. Both begat kittens and my daughter created a make-shift kitten nursery in my son’s bedroom. This was total A-1! Warm blankets were placed within a dresser were they slept and were fully adopted by caring friends near!
While I don’t have a furry nor other friend today; I try to feed birds that are near; and find crows; sparrows; Canadian Pelicans and other flight fascinating! When I was warehousing for over two years; I feed the bit of my lunch to “prairie-dogs.” I worked hard and enjoyed their company. While heading home a large falcon was about to eat a young dog from hole; and a large rabbit ran by. I yelled. Well this grand bird perched on a telephone line. In, my mind I encouraged citizens to feed this great bird ground beef with salt and leave water.
I am compelled to say all living need survival and no creature wants to be eaten!!
I wish we could survive on vegetables; hardly; so be fare with ALL CREATURES GREAT!!
