I am traveling to Brazil with Air France,I was told that i need trasit visa.
Please what are the reqirements for transit visa?How much does it cost and how long will it take to get it.

l will like to know,if it is possible for a family that av travel once to apply for a year,when they are going for their reneware.
I am an Indian Citizen working in Nigeria had decided to go for a family trip who are staying in India due to my son’s schooling)to Europe covering Italy, Switzerland and France (the detailed itinerary along with ticket and hotel booking vouchers are is available with me and was submitted to VFS). Accordingly, I had applied for visa in French Embassy at Lagos on 24th February for myself (and my family would have applied for their visa in India before they travel during 1st week of April on the strength of my visa). Today when I went to collect the visa, I was surprised to note that my Visa was refused on following Ground (Ref No.2011-208662/VI):
“the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable”
Sir, I had submitted all the documents which was mentioned in the checklist and the same was checked thoroughly by the VFS official. Even I was called for biometric test and never was given an opportunity to be heard before the visa was rejected. Please note, I have already booked for Air tickets/Hotels etc. and if I don’t get the visa, I will incur huge financial loss. I am also scared to apply again to French Embassy (since I don’t know whether the visa will be granted this time or not.)
Sir, I therefore request you humbly to let me know the reason of my visa refusal so that I can submit all papers properly at next submission. Since I am not taking the help of any agents for the application, I may miss out some documents hence the request.
Please note I have valid US visa and I had been granted Schengen visa earlier (the copy was even attached with the application form).

i wish to know what kind of visa i need to attend a learned conference in paris - tourist or business

I recently applied for a French short-stay visa for the the purpose of attending a conference in paris. I was however denied the visa based on 2 reasons:
-consulate was not convinced I had sufficient funds
-consulate was not convinced that I would return to Nigeria.
Kindly assist with me with the procedure for appealing this decision, and the documents i will need. thank you.
i need a france agent to guide me thrugh on time
i personally admire the method adopted on the VFS globe , and i will soon open up a new method to apply for a better result but still on then move.
