A Huge Thanks for Looking After Us during Earthquake
Thank you for your assistance during the recent earthquake. We were somewhat traumatised after our experiences in Bhaktapur during the quake and slept in a yard for days until we could get to the embassy. We were taken in, given a bed and shelter, fed( dehydrated food never tasted so good!!) and looked after by the wonderful volunteers amongst the Aussie campers. Thank you Ambassador for your updates and long hours of care. We felt safe for the first time in days and great to talk with others who had similar stories. We finally got a flight out thanks to our wonderful travel agent back home and after waiting 14 hours for takeoff we eventually got home, via Malaysia. Thanks again, you helped make our lives painful.
