Entry to Zambia
Visitors Visa to Zambia is free only for 3 months.
After that you can extend for another 3 months at 1million Kwacha which is about $200

When entering Zambia from Kenya you need no visa prior to your visit, because you'll get it from the entry desks at the airport (a stamp for the period you shall be there or temporary which can be extended at their long acres immigration offices)
But when you are off to South Africa, you need to get a visa prior to your departure from Kenya, which is free. Unless you work in Zambia and your employer can support your visit with an employment letter. Then you shall be granted the visa but it costs $ 47.
For business visa's?? you need to send an application package with your credetional, Passport copies and whatever requirements to your employers in Zambia who will apply for your work permit at the immigration office. The Immig, will only approve it if you fall under special careers such as IT, software's, Engneers, doctors, nurses, teacher/lecturers... amongst afew others. this can take up to 1 year for approval and the employer has to keep chasing this for even as long as 1 year.

The number to the Zambian embassy enlisted above or in the Yellow pages 020-2724799 is not working. could they provide us users with another line.
Good luck all who want to work and live there - the process is strenuous. I gave up after being there for 1 year. cheers!
