Good for Japanese citizens to visit Uzbekistan. Embassy doesnt request any invitation letter from Japanese nationals. You get your visa any time without serious planning your travel.
Me and my friends got our visa without any problem in 5 days. BTW, the consul gave the visa on Saturday, even though its not his working day. He seems quite young gentlement, speaks well Japanese.

Guys, this embassy has no functional capacity. You never reach them on the phone. Even if you reach Mr. Eldor who is in charge of visa issues, always seeks for pocket money or some favors to him. It is hungry country for corruption and so its public officials! Shame !

I am Taiwanese and would like to visit Uzbekistan( only one person). Because I have gotten the invitation letter and application document form Uzbekistan travel agent.
The appliaction of position is for Japan.
Can I ask my friend in Japan to send my passport to Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo and then apply for the VISA?
