Transfer Visa
My wife is Chinese and we are flying to Trinidad and Tobago this Christmas. We will be transferring at JFK airport in New York. My friend told me that my wife will need to apply for a US visa as we will be on US soil. Is this true? She has a visa for Trinidad and Tobago do we need to apply for a US visa too?

Notary Public needed
My husband is in Guangzhou for business. Our daughter needs a form signed by him and notarized and it is time sensitive. We were wondering if the embassy might have someone who could notarize it.

Marriage in China and spousal visas
If you can validate the authenticity of a citizen in China before you leave to go to to there you will be extremely lucky. I lived there for 5 years and had one on one face to face contact, and still got lied to and manipulated. The key concept if you are that interested in Chinese women is, "never give up, quitters never win and winners never quit" Second thing is, immersion in the culture and the actually living there is the ultimate opportunity for your search.

$300,000 ? ? ? ? I think you mean 300,000 RMB and that is around $50,000....I literally went to China, met my wife, married in Changchun, applied for her visa and green card and we are now living in America.
In all of it money was never an issue for either one of us. So you may want to rethink the plan and pick a quicker and calmer path.

Visa process for spouse took us 18 months to finish from beginning to the day we arrived in our home in America...I have the documents and entry, exit stamps on my passport to prove it.

Internet relationships
I have met a lady from China on a dating web site, she has invited me to come and meet her family. How can one authenticate the identity and background of a person before they board the plane and incur the expense of the trip? I really know nothing about this person other than emails she sent me. I have encountered tricksters in this world of online romance, I want to trust but feel the need to verify. The US has very accessible public records but, China is different. What process can one use to find out about a possible mate?
