Hello I lost my passport when living in UK I now live in Italy and wish to have my British passport what can I do can you tell me the opening time of the British council in Venice please?
I am a Jordanian citizen, married to Italian citizen and has the EU residency since February 2018. We arrived at Venice airport purchased a ticket (in good faith) from the ticker vending machine to Venice centre. We then got on what we believed to be th right bus (not manned) to then find at next stop 4 inspectors get on. They told us we had the wrong ticket, threaten us with the police and fined us 68 Euro each (136 total). Although we protested it was a genuine mistake (2 mins in to journey) she insisted fine was valid. This is clearly a well rehearsed and targeted extortion of tourists- is there any recourse- we have tickets/detail? Thanks

If you lose your passport or other British ID documents you will need to go to the British Consulate in Milan.

The RFB 125 Committee of Trieste is organising a short conference dedicated to the life and achievements of Sir Richard Burton, the former British consul here, on Monday 19th October, the 125th anniversary of his death.
We would certainly appreciate the presence of a representative of The British Consulate, given the cultural and historical importance of Burton's contribution to the city Trieste and its surroundings.
