Hi guys
Do you know what are the restrictions on British residents (1 Irish passport/1 Spanish passport holder)trying to return to home to London. I work for Virgin Atlantic in LHR and had a staff stand-by ticket home but flight cancelled till October.
Any help or advice much appreciated

Hello I live in the Carmo/ Santo Antonio area of Salvador de Bahia and love this historic district. However the rubbish/waste collection system is dreadful and gives the tourist trade a dreadful name. Rubbish/waste is left out on the street throughout the day, evening and overnight and then collected the next day. The smell is dreadful and the rubbish is obviously attacked my dogs cats and vermin. This can only spread disease. The Olympic Games are coming in 2016 and some of the football games will be played in Salvador. The whole area around Ladeira do Carmo stinks. It is such a beautiful area and deserves a better waste collection policy for example: Large rubbish bins could be used to collect waste overnight. i don't know if there is anything that can be done to persuade the Ministry of Tourism to look into this
Can I apply for a UK Visa (Tier 4) here in salvador or do I need to go to the UK Embassy in Brasilia? How long does it take to issue?
