i got a call offering a job. they are asking to come for an intrview in UK but they say the visa charges are to be paid by me( Rs 15200) into a bank account of state bank of india. is it real or fake.

i have heard that recently the consulate is taking too much of time to process visa. i my self have applied for vias on 19 march and till date i have not got it back. i have made few visits to the VFS office in Nehru place, delhi but with no result. during these visits i have come to know that many persons had to reshedule their flight or cancel it due to slack ness on embassy people. i think this is very bad and leaves bad impression about a country. the people responsible for processing visa should be pulled up.
Me and my wife Mrs Rina Basuray applied for visitor's visa to visit UK for about 10 days from 17th of June to 27th of June on our way back from USA.After obtaining Visa for USA,we applied for UK visa on 28th of March 2013.We have booked our ticket to fly to USA from Kolkata on 16th April and as such we requested Commission to issue our Visa in time for us to get back our Passport with UK visa latest by 15th of April.We sent application stating our urgency to get our passport back before our scheduled departure from Kolkata on 16th April along with our UK visa application but till date we have no information about our passport or visa except a SMS on 4th April that our visas are on process.It seems we will not be able to fly as scheduled on 16th and as elderly people will have to undergo a lot of hassles to make fresh booking after cancelletion of our flight and bear unnecessary costs for cancellation for no fault of ours.Can we expect Honourable High Commission have little time to extend his hand of cooperation at least in cases like us? We would really remain thankful if HC office care to go through mails sent to them on urgent cases.
