NotesYOUR ONLINE FRIEND WAS NOT ARRESTED AT THE AIRPORT.
YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED.

Have you been having conversations online with someone you've never met before who claims to live in the UK? Has he told you that he will come to visit you in Malaysia? And now is he frantically contacting you because he are being held at the airport, and needs you to pay a fine so he can be freed?

It is a scam. There is no romance, and there is nobody being detained at KLIA. The same person who was chatting online with you was also chatting online with many other victims. They are trying to trick you into sending money to an accomplice. Once you have sent the money they will disappear forever. Every year these scammers bilk unsuspecting victims out of thousands of ringgit. Don't be one of them.

Dear marie, its better for you not to trust him. A few days ago, the person who cheated me before, suddenly call me using Malaysia number. He said that he just arrived from Scotland. On that time, I checked with Kuala Lumpur International Airport, they said that, no any flight from Scotland on that time. Then I asked that guy to give me her name, passport number, flight number and details about him because I want to call and checked with embassy whether its true or not. He refused to give me what I asked and gave a lot of excuses and reasons about it. After that, he called me again and said, he want to release his luggage that he sent to me before whereas he need to pay RM2500 because the weight of the luggage are 47KG. I said that I didn't want to pay anything. He said that he didn't bring much money because he don't want to be detained there and just only bring credit card only. He said that he just only have RM1000 and asked me to look another RM1500. I said, I won't do that. Then he shouted on me and hang off the phone. After that he never call me again. The Maaysia number and UK number that he used still can be contacted. I will follow up this case with police as soon as possible as he said now he's in Malaysia. Hope they will be caught soon. Don't trust him marie. If he's really true, ask him to call embassy to settle his problem there. But am sure that he will never ever do that. This is just a trick to ask money from us. Don't pay anything. We just a victim to them. After he stole our money, they will disappear from us and after a few weeks then, they will come back to us to ask money again. This really happen to me. To eirol, lets share our experiences together to save as many friends as can from this bad attitude persons known as SCAMMER!

Ms. Afzan
It's certainly is a high price for a lesson learned. but life has to go on, we can still earn the money lost, and i know that they will pay for it, the rule of Karma. Just pray for the peace of mind that you need.
