Sorry to hear about your update, I know that they have a back log of applications since the new rule was introduced. I know that they are working hard to reduce the back log so hopefully you will get some good news.
My wife's application is for a returning resident. Her passport was lost while she was on holiday to Pakistan, she already has Indefinite leave to remain. Just waiting for a reply.
It has been 3 months and a couple of days since i have gave my application. I am waiting for their reply. salma can i have the number you phoned?

Can you not apply for a British passport for your daughter even though she was born in Pakistan?
my 120 working days are up but not 6 months i guess i need to wait for 2 more weeks until the 3-10-12 then my 6 months will be up! one other thing i will say to all u people is in google type "uk visa process time" and click the home office link and then were u gave ur application in and see the last month process time line and i tell u 1 thing it dont look good at all trust me
i am not joking bro im serious if u wana add me of fb ur all most wellcome plus its a better way to communicate and stay in touch with each othere in this confusing epic my fb name is master shahbaz aslam plus i rang up the gerry office there just a bunch of time wasters plus they wrote to my wife the embassy saying please bare with us as we have a back log and do u know wat the worst thing is i had a daughter in pakistan who im missing so much that im on this site and see if n e 1 got useful info then i gathered were all in the same boat
I applied for a visa it has been one month haven't heard anything yet
I called British high comissions in Islamabad on 0871 7043005 I'm sick of waiting and where not given the right direction or any feedback at all
