Bad News ... He's Alive and Kicking ... Bro-in-law at medical centre in China
Met your B-I-L in China two weeks ago, seems very much alive.

Seems he was hurt (victim) in vehicle accident and he has to go for treatment as part of bad drivers insurance award. No medical treatment - every six months - no compensation support.

All I know except he likes Chinese beer.

Refusal Appeal
I am in urgent need of assistance and would please request that this letter be passed to the relevant department personnel for attention.
I write this from my home in the UK as sponsor of visa application GWF032412119 by my guest Mr. Tran Viet Vuong who has been refused an entry visa. We are both shocked and upset at the Clearance Officers comments:-
" I am not satisfied as to your intentions in wishing to travel to the UK / that you genuinely intend a short stay and will leave the UK at the end of your visit"
" I am not satisfied that you will be able to maintain and accommodate yourself adequately in the UK or meet the cost of your return or onward journey"
We are both honest upstanding members of our respective communities. We have no hidden agenda and have provided every possible document in support and also sort your guidence to comply. The implication from the clearance officer comments suggests a lack of integrity on our part, which as I have writen above has shocked us both.
If I may address the Clearance Offier's two points with quotes from Mr. Tran Viet's application Statement
" I currently hold a successful position at one of the leading Universities in Ho Chi Minh City as a lecturer in Hospitality Management. I have no intention to relinquish this position after a long and successful period. Prospects for further advancement in this appointment keep me committed to this specific career path and location"
"The opportunity to take a short vacation to the UK is the first in many years. I trust that this statement will make clear my intention to return to my home. In addition my intention to abide fully to the terms and conditions permitted in the UK Visa."
In addition from my letter of sponsorship
"For a duration of approximately 10 days. During this period I will take full responsibility for his welfare as guest in my Stamford home." In addition to this I made my own financial position clear with bank statements and also purchased a round trip Air Ticket enclosed in support of this application. Now at a loss of £733. I accept your advise not to book travel documents before visa approval, but the period from teaching commitments and seat availability was limited and I never expected this outcome.

What possible further declarations could we make that support our honestly and complete integrity you have only to request.
Mr. Tran Viet Vuong is a fine upstanding professional, with an excellent career and travel history and is committed to his work and family in Vietnam. The sad result of this application suggests he is unfit to travel and is of dubious character. He must now face students and faculty members with this deeply unfortuneate outcome.
I would therefore respectfully request that this application be reviewed and reconsidered in the light of the honesty in which it was submitted.
I look forward to conformation of receipt of this appeal, and a reply at your earliest convenience
Yours Sincerely
Christopher Anderson
