the indian govt has requested all to change to the biometric passport. I have a valid visa in my current passport- Can I still use it if my new biometric passport is issued in the next two weeks?

My British passport has expired, and I wonder if there is anywhere in Switzerland (where I have lived since 1965, with nearly 32 years at WHO) where I can get an identity card, needed for the renewal of my Swiss permis C. I know that the procedure for getting a new passport is pretty complicated.
I have been in Geneva since 1996, my son from a Swiss national is 11 years old now.
The Govt. decided not to renew my stay permit after I sue the registration office .
Now I ma deprived from all my rights even that to be next to my son. I would like to move to a near by country with more respect to Africans...oh I am Sudanese , that is the problem. Will the Britz accept me.

but there is only one condition you pay me now a little in advance to rent a room
and some amount of 1 800 chf what is monthly existeenz minimum

is this correct I must send my old passport to the uk for renewal
I am surprised I need to send my passport to the UK to be renewed. I worked at the British Embassy in Paris and UK nationals could get their passports renewed easily at the Consulate. DIsappointing that the Consulate doesn't support us here on this issue especially when so many of us travel regularly and lack of assistance in Geneva means we will have to wait longer to receive a new passport.
Im a Cuban I live in Switzerland since 16 years(Bewilligung C),and because i play Softball in September(13-15)is gonna be a tournament in London(World Series)and I belong tot he Team from Switzerland who goes there but because Im a Cuban(Cuba) I need a Visum,can u please Contact me or let me know Where,Time I should go to get this Visa(I need for a Weekend Sept 13-15.2013)I booked my fly Already,my Hotel(> Heathrow Airport (Bath Road) 15 Bath Road Hounslow Middlesex England TW6 2AL,and I have to know as soon as posible,i just need to know Where I should go and Wich Documents I Should take with that You give me the Visa

I had my UK passport issued at the Geneva Consulate-General 9&half yrs ago and need it urgently renewed. The telephone number on your website for the CG isunobtainable. How to proceed?
I would like to contact the Personal Assistane of Ambassador Gooderham to advise of a visit to Geneva next Tuesday, Sept. 27th.
