I am a SA citizen and my mothers Father (my grandfather) is from italian and british decent. The only issue is my mom was given up for adoption and we have just made contact with someone who is her biological family, I just want to know what documentation I would need ? I am 19 and would love to go over and study/work there, any feedback would be of great help. zandalee.vigus@yahoo.com

"transit without visa concession"
My husband and I are travelling from Cape Town to the USA at the end of July via London,Heathrow, spending about 2 hours at the airport before the ongoing flight to New York, JFK Airport. I have a Danish passport, my husband a SA passport + a US visa. On our return, end of August (again via Heathrow) we're doing a 6 day stopover in Dublin to visit our son (ie flying Heathrow-Dublin), returning again via Heathrow. I have looked up on the ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk website, but find the information re transit without visa hugely confusing! Amazingly it seems that, although he would qualify for a concession going to the US, coming back this might not apply, as we are stopping over in Ireland! I find this unbelievable, as he doesn't need a visa to enter Ireland! Please tell me that I have read this wrong, as I find it unacceptable to have to pay +/- R 800 for a British visa, just to sit at Heathrow Airport in transit for a couple of hours coming and going?

Renewing British Passport
I have got application forms ready.
I have the photographs countersigned.
I have my old passport.
I cannot find a place to make the payment.
Is the payment authorisation slip the way to make payment? What is the payment? I have read that it is 128BPS, I have read that it is R2200. What are the facts, so that I can get this done? please.
