I hold a valid British passport that will expire in the next few months. Can I renew this passport at the Atlanta Britsih Consulate or will I need to visit the British Embassy in Washington DC ?
Can you tell me if there is a history or a reference work which gives a list of the British consuls in the US during the 19th century?
I have tried to call the consulate in atlanta nit phone service is very poor, I am on a first offenders programme I have been arrested for 3 days for committing fraud when I was 17 years old, however I have never been convicted and the only thing stopping me from becoming clean is paying off the money required as probation. I have stupidly booked a flight to the UK for this Christmas and I'm not sure I need a visa I am worried I will be denied entry. Do I need a visa and if so is there a quicker easier way of getting one?
