Passport extension
Today visited the Consulate to have my wife and my passport extended by 12 months,
They could not have been more helpful, arrived a little early for appointment but seen straightaway. A very good service.

Positiv action.
The only way to get any form of positive action from this office is to go in person and insist on being dealt with. Phoning is expensive, they rarely answer anyway. Ask for Consul Paul Rodwell or Vice Consul Elizabeth Bell in person if you want to get anything sorted. The staff are 'jobsworths'.

Health care
Please can you tell me? We have had a place in Spain for 14 years. We are now going to take up residencia and move permently. I have just been told we are no longer entitled to health care as before we were. Can someone help. It's very confusing. Private health care is far too exspenvivr. Worried . Thankyou Sheila Phillips

Travelling to Turkey on emergency passport
I applied for a renewal of my passport beginning of June. I am travelling on holiday to Turkey on 13th August via the UK. I live just outside of Alicante. I am not going to get my passport back in time so need to get an emergency passport. My question is can I travel to Turkey on an emergency travel document and can I get a visa when I get there to obtain entry? I am staying in Turkey for 10 days. Advise please!

Damaged passport advice.
Great Service! Called 1600 on Sunday and spoke to a very nice young lady in London. Bottom line for me with my machine washed passport, is best go to Consulate in Alicante to have it checked there.
