Long Weekend Visit to Dubai
Sir:

Greetings! I have anticipated immigration concern (i.e, the ambiguity of whether I could visit Dubai on this long weekend). I am a Filippine passport holder and has moved to Muscat since February to take on a job as accounts-sales manager in Engineering industry from Europe.

Having consulted Immigration Dubai and my travel agency, I was given a firm assurance I could travel and therefore made arrangements in visiting relations to celebrate what would be a reunion.

I am deeply troubled and disappointed when Swiss Air on my flight to Dubai at 2335 yesterday from Muscat International Airport has 'instructed' me that I am not eligible to travel on the basis that I am less than six (6) months in Oman.

This has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated as I have look forward to this travel. Please advise.

With my sincerest and utmost gratitude, I am.

Sincerely,

Javier
