Dear Admin, hope you are okay.
My name is Isq a Ugandan by nationality. I intend to travel to Dubai on a Visit Visa but i got a lot of challenges.
On 16th March i went to the Embassy with my interpol letter for certification but what i found there was a mess where by people were crowded at the gate. I did not know much but what i remember well on that day is that that there was a list where people were registering inorder to access the consulate premises. I also did the same. However, i was surprised that by the time closing time approached, i wasn't a month the people who were called to access the consulate to hand in my Interpol letter for certification.
The following day i went back and this time i was at the consulate gate as early as 05:00Am and still as usual, people were very many. I did this for a couple of days until on 29th March when they received my document. But this was after i was told to bribe 20,000 Ugandan shillings for my document to be worked upon beside the 41USD.
Still after submitting this document, i was told the USD i gave them is fake when i went back on Tuesday 3rd expecting to receive my certified copy.
To my surprise, these people at the Embassy gave my my document without a stamp for certification and told me that the certification exercise is done.
Now my major question is, what is the legal procedure of getting a visit visa for UAE?
Do i still need the Interpol certification from the consulate to get a visa?
Awaiting your kind response.
FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY
