এক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে সৌদি ভিসা পাবে বাংলাদেশিরা
আগামী এক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে সৌদি ভিসা পাবে বাংলাদেশিরা। আগামী ২০ এপ্রিল থেকে বাংলাদেশি শ্রমিকদের ভিসা ইস্যু করার ঘোষণা দিয়েছে সৌদি সরকার। দেশটির আন্তর্জাতিক বিষয়ক উপ-শ্রমমন্ত্রী আহমেদ আল ফায়িদ ও বাংলাদেশের প্রবাসীকল্যাণ মন্ত্রী খন্দকার মোশাররফ হোসেন সৌদিতে শ্রমিক পাঠানোর বিষয়ে গত মাসে ঢাকায় একটি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করেন। এর পরই দেশটির শ্রম মন্ত্রণালয়ের পক্ষে আহমেদ আল ফায়িদ এ ঘোষণা দেন।
আহমেদ আল ফায়িদ জানান, সৌদি আরবের ভিসা পেতে দুটি মৌলিক যোগ্যতা থাকতে হবে। প্রথমত তাদের সুস্বাস্থ্যের অধিকারী হতে হবে। দ্বিতীয়ত, কোনো ধরনের অপরাধের সঙ্গে সংশ্লিষ্টতা থাকা যাবে না। সেই সঙ্গে নিজের পেশা সম্পর্কে প্রশিক্ষণ থাকতে হবে এবং সৌদি আরবের সংস্কৃতি, পরিবেশ ও ধর্ম সম্পর্কে সচেতন থাকতে হবে। ১২টি ক্যাটাগরিতে বাংলাদেশি শ্রমিকদের ভিসা ইস্যু করবে সৌদি সরকার।
গৃহকর্মীদের জন্য ভিসা ইস্যুর মাধ্যমে শুরু হবে প্রথম ধাপ। চাহিদা অনুযায়ী পর্যায়ক্রমে ড্রাইভার, মালিসহ অন্যান্য ক্যাটাগরিতে বাংলাদেশি পুরুষ শ্রমিকের ভিসা দেওয়া হবে। জানুয়ারি মাসে সৌদি আরবের শ্রমমন্ত্রী আদেল ফাকিহ সৌদি আরবে দক্ষ শ্রমিক নিয়োগের ঘোষণা দেন। তার ঘোষণার ভিত্তিতেই ২০ এপ্রিল থেকে বাংলাদেশি শ্রমিকদের ভিসা দেয়া শুরু হবে।
