I received un confirmed information of one Uganda woman who might have died in China last week. Her name is Susan Nalunkuma, she was not illegal in China as he had just traveled to China again in September. Please let me know if this information can be confirmed and what caused her death because the last time i talked to her begining this month she was ok. Thanks a lot

Samantha Namutebi
Dear Sir/Madam,

I sent this email last week in the hope that you could look into the case of my good friend Samantha Namutebi, who is in prison in Shanghai, but have received no reply.
I am at present working in the Philippines but I have two friends, Bella and Flora in Shanghai who, I believe, have contacted you regarding this case.
According to Bella she has lost her passport and didn't report it to the chinese authorities. She has possibly overstayed her visa too by several months.
I know this is a serious offence and that she will need to serve her term and will probably be deported back to Uganda. However, I have been unable to find out anything.
I believe she is being held at Shanghai Detention Centre on Hunan Road, Pudong in Shanghai.
Her brother, Habib Namutebi, has been calling me constantly for news and I am unable to do anything, having spent two days trying to locate her in Shanghai.
I would be very grateful if you could give me any information regarding Samantha.
I am willing to pay any fines or flight costs that her deportation to Uganda may incur.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks and kind regards,

David Knight

Dear Sir/Madam,

My good friend Samantha Namutebi has apparently been arrested in Shanghai.
She's 24 years old and her family contacted me to try to find her and possibly pay her fine.
I'm not sure why she was arrested, possibly overstaying her visa.
I have been in Shanghai for 2 days trying to locate her with no success and have to leave tomorrow.
The police won't even confirm if she has been arrested or not.
Any information that you could find out for me would be greatly appreciated.
I am wiling to pay any costs that may be incurred securing her release and return home.

Thanks and regards,

David Knight

SOS
There is a Ugandan woman named Juliet Nabatanzi in hospital. She is in Beijing Ditan Yi Yuan. Last night I was in the hospital to visit a friend on an unrelated matter when a doctor saw me and asked me to translate as a fellow African. I speak some Chinese but Juliet does not.

Juliet is pregnant, HIV positive and has no money so they will not treat her for malnutrition, paralysis and pain, let alone AIDS. They only give free treatment to Chinese citizens. I contacted the embassy but they say they can not help as she doesn't have her documents with her. But the woman can barely speak and I couldn't find her hotel (where she says the documents are).

If anyone is willing or able to help her, she is in Beijing Ditan YiYuan.

"Help would like to get some information about a relative who travelled to china but we nolonger hear from her we suspect she is not okey" Stella
You should instead suspect she is ok unless otherwise communicated. Most people when they travel abroad they try as much as possible to cut links from their relatives to avoid endless demands.
