RE: SUBMISSION OF SECURITY DEPOSIT - PROOF OF SUFFICIENT FUNDS FOR BASIC TRAVEL
ALLOWANCE (BTA)
This is to confirm receipt of your email and to inform you that your file has been queued for processing.
To enable us commence the verification and approval of your documents, you are requested to submit
the security deposit of $1,050 required as a Security deposit for verification of sufficient funds for your
Basic Travel Allowance. The Turkiye Immigration Acts of 2011 mandates all Visa applicants with
intentions of getting into Turkey for Employment purposes to show proofs of availability
of $1,050 before work visa applications are approved.
METHODS OF SUBMISSION OF SECURITY DEPOSIT
All Visa applicants MUST submit the Security deposit via Western Union Money Transfer, however
applicants in countries that don't have Western Union payout facility like Indians and Nepalese MUST
contact us to furnish them with our Agent's Liaison Account Coordinates to enable them effect deposit.
WHY WE USE WESTERN UNION INSTEAD OF BANK STATEMENTS, DRAFTS OR CHEQUES
Before now, the ÇSGB accepted Bank statements, Drafts and Cheques as methods of submission of
security deposits. Unfortunately, a lot of Visa applicants from Asia, Africa and some parts of Europe
abused the method. These Applicants submitted copies of falsified documents, bank statements and
dud cheques.
Over the years, We have been saddled with the challenges of identifying these fraudulent Visa
applicants and in a swift bid to curb their operations. These dramatic situations prompted the ÇSGB
and Ministry of Interior to revise the standard of operations hence, the annulment of the acceptance of
Bank Statements, Drafts or Cheques and adoption of the Western Union as the ONLY method of
submission of security deposits for all International Visa applicants.
WHY CAN'T EMPLOYERS BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY DEPOSIT
Your Visa fees, Residence/ Work Permit fees and Health Insurance fees are being shouldered by your
Employer. As much as Employees are mandated to submit the security deposit of $1,050 to show
proofs of sufficient funds for their Basic Travel Allowance (BTA), Employers are as well mandated to
submit proof of availability of funds and basic accommodation as proof that they have sufficient funds
to sponsor your stay in Turkey.
Therefore, it is a criminal offence and violation of the Turkiye Immigration Acts of 2011 should any
Employer be responsible for security deposit required by the Employee.
IS THIS SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE OR JUST A ONE TIME PAYMENTThe Security deposit of $1,050 is not a payment, it is only a deposit required for verification within 24
hours and subject to retrieval upon completion of the 24 hour verification process. This means that the
ÇSGB will prompt you upon completion of the 24 hour verification, you will retrieve the deposit from
western union on your arrival here in Istanbul.
On confirmation of the western union receipt of your deposit, we shall proceed with the processing of
your work visa and resident permit also procure your flight tickets to Istanbul.
To this effect, you are to make sure that the RECEIVER'S name MUST be your NAME as appeared in
your international passport and visa application form so that no one except you can withdraw the
deposit. The SENDER'S name can be anyone, your Friend, relative or any of your family members and
the RECIEIVING COUNTRY/Location must be Istanbul, Turkey as this is where the verification will be
performed. You will achieve this by going to Western Union with any member of your family, relative or
friend. IE:
Senders Name: (Your Friend or Relative that will accompany you to the western union point)
Receivers Name: (Your Name as it appears in your international passport, so that you can be able to
retrieve the deposit from western union once you furnish them with your identification on your arrival)
City: Istanbul (As that is where the verification will be completed)
Payout Country: Turkey
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THE VISA APPLICATION TO BE PROCESSED & APPROVED AFTER THE
SUBMISSION OF THE VISA REQUIREMENTS
It takes approximately 3 to 7 working days for processing and approval of Visa applications.
Please adhere to instructions given to enable us commence processing at once and get you approved.
Applicants in countries that don't have Western Union payout facility like India and Nepal MUST
contact us to furnish them with our Agent's Liaison Account Coordinates to enable them effect deposit.
Be assured that your satisfaction remains our priority.
