Comments on this Consulate-General
I have a Trinidad passport but my son has a Canadian passport can I applied for a Trinidad passport for him.
How do I acquire a letter of authentication in respect of a doctors status from a member of a Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in Canada.
Good morning, I just needed to know the cost of a renewal if living in Canada. I live in Alberta
Thanks
I called a few times before someone answered the phone.
I was directed to this website in case anyone needs the instructions:
wwww.foreign.gov.tt/cgtoronto
It has the forms and the instructions.
They said it would take 3 months to process when submitted and there is no way to expedite the process.
I have been trying to get info guidelines on how to renew my machine readable passport. I have spent more than 10 hours in the past 3 days trying to find the information but so far no luck. It seems like the info is for residents in T&T and I think the guidelines for overseas residents might be a bit different. BTW - you have to be lucky to get good service when dealing with Trinis...because most of the ones with a gov't job don't realize they are still servants ie. public servants.
I applied for my passport received it in six weeks,
also received a phone call from the senior immigration to collect it.
Good job
I applied for my passport, and was very pleased that it was ready for pickup, when i phoned back a couple of months later, thankyou.
Your professionalism meted out to me on my visit to your
office recently speaks volume!!!!To all who make negative comments....check your ATTITUDE!!
I live 3 hours away from the consulate. I was allowed to mail in my application and was exceedingly impressed with the level of service received. The officers called me to clarify information and my passport was delivered in six weeks.
Kudos to the consulate staff. They demonstrated a high level of professionalism.
I had to wait over an hour for service even though there were only 4 people ahead of me
Parking was atrocious- all the side streets had no parking from 8am - 6pm
The street across from the consulate had 4 parking spots that were taken- and I was there very early - the side street to the west of the consulate had 2 paid parking spots and after driving around for 15-20 minutes finally found a paid parking spot- the consulate should definitely be located in an area with accessibility to parking
I had to renew my Trinidad and Tobago passport and I was asked to produce my Canadian citizenship papers even though I had a valid Canadian passport - which of course I could not obtain without being a citizen - so what a waste of time - I even produced my citizenship card - but - my valid Canadian passport and citizenship card was not enough proof of citizenship !!!!!!! Go figure !!
I had to wait over one hour to be served - and there were only 4 people ahead of me
Why book an appointment - and then have to wait a long time - and no apology from staff
On the positive side- the customer service person was very pleasant
Hope these comments are considered in order to improve service
