Horrible experience
I am interested in getting dual citizenship. The process has not even started yet but already I can see that this is going to be an unpleasant experience. The website does not work properly, tried calling the office and the phone does not even connect. Why do these issues exist in this day and age? What will it take for the appropriate people to wake up and do something about this?

complain
I have read the comments of the toronto office , I do agree it is a big problem, I feel that each one of us should send a letter to the prime minister in trinidad stating the problems here , I live in Montreal and for me to get my trinidad passport I need to go all the way to troonto and then go back to collect it will cost me lesstto take a flight to trinidad and go to an office there and at least there you will be treated as a humain. so lets get together and contact the prime minister in tt.

Seeta & Elaine, I agree with you both 100% I think that the T&T consulate of Toronto has bad customer service, they move with no urgency, and give people the run around. My sister and I have decided to get our Canadian passport because it's less hassle and the don't require you life story.

Service
One would think that living in Canada the customer service at the T&T Consulate Office will be
a bit more professional. I just got off the phone with someone there and the manner in which he spoke to me, seems to be angry that I called the office, look like I disturb him from his coffee or friendly chat, try to get rid of me very fast, just hang up not even let me finish, not even a thank you.

Please do not rush people off the phone, that what our T&T Office is there for to help people. Why does it take 4-6 wee3ks to get a T&T Passport, a Canadian Passport one can get in in 8 days, look at the Canadian population. T&T got only 1.2 million.

T & T Passport Renewal
Why does some of the Passport Officers Act like it is up to them who get or don't get a T&T Passport.. Why DO different officers request different Information Why the Documents that are rejected by the T&T consulate in Toronto is accepted in Trinidad? NO GREASE HAND NECESSARY.

Is it any Wonder a lot of Trinidad & Tobago Nationals Don't bother with T&T Passports & Opt for a Canadian passport. Not even the Mighty U S A give that much problem to get a U S Passport.

Imagine Giving a (75 yr old Senior) the Run around to get a T&T Passport Renewed, All her Documents was in Order, The woman was in Tears. Her daughter advised her to get a Canadian Passport. She had it in (5) days
ONCE THE DOCUMENTS ARE IN ORDER THE PASSPORT SHOULD BE PROCESSED.IF THE DOCUMENTS ARE GOOD IN TRINIDAD THEY SHOULD BE GOOD HERE ALSO

I THINK THE T&T CONSULATE IN TORONTO IS TO BIG,TO FANCY & OVER-STAFFED. NOTHING MUCH TO DO SO THEY ARE MAKING IT LOOK LIKE ITS BUSY..WE NEED AN OVER-HAUL OF THAT OFFICE. PLEASE STOP WORKING LIKE YOU ARE ON THE GRAVY BOAT IN TRINIDAD.WASTING TAXPAYERS $$$
STOP STRESSING US OUT.
Mr. P.R Logan.

It is best to visit the new building and gain an appreciation for the improvements made by Mr philip Buxo.Everything is available for renewals including a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.Do not waste time calling.Park on the street across the building(meter parking).

I had problems in the past when dealing with the passport office. thankfully, I had no problems this time around...well I did have one problem, signing my signature on the electronic pad. Ì too was dealing with Ravi, and thought he was amazing. He answered all my questions and helped me move my appointment. Although, I must say, there are a lot of things the can to to improve service. À) being able to pay with debit, credit or online B) wait time could be better C) there is too much info required, not even the Canadian government requires that much info for a passport.
