Carnival in Sydney 2019
I am aware of the Carnival in Sydney every year and I know it is occurring in early March 2019. Does the Trini community or Caribbean community have a band in this Carnival? Planning to be there so hoping to connect with the Trinis. I write a Blog, globalfestivalist.com and planning to blog on the Carnival in Sydney 2019. Please advise.

to suzie roberts re andre mohammed who was in bondi nsw..i was andre's partner 20 years ago in victoria.his birthday is actually 15/08 not 16.he has another name he uses which i dont recall.he can not go back to trinidad tobego as i believe he has cocaine charges there.he has a drug induced pyschosis which he should be on medication for.he was a brilliant reggae singer and for a while he stayed on his meds.during that time he was fine...he may be in byron area or qld as has daughter there.could even be in victoria.you .need to move on and forget him.he will always be an iv user as i presume you are..other women have posted on this site looking for him.he is as cunning as a sewer rat and probably beyond help now...more fool you forspending your money on him..i have spoken to his parents many years ago..his mum was in usa and dad in tobago..they may have passed by now.if he doesnt want to be found he wont be...feel sorry for you but you wont find him...good luck..

Machine Readable TnT Passport
Unfortunately if you possess an old non-machine readable passport you need to get it renewed in Trinidad. It is a lengthily process. First if you do decide to head to TnT ensure you have an appointment prior and take every possible document you may have or need. Once approved and photo taken someone you nominate can collect on your behalf. Also, be sure to have the new electronic birth certificate, and take lots of panadol with you. you will need it!!

Wanting to renew my Trinidad passport
Hi all I live in Australia but was born in Trinidad, I've been for years without success trying to renew my passport. My sister who lives in America contacted the Trinidad Embassy in Miami and they told her if it's the new electronic passport you have to be there in person but all other future renewals after that you could just mail in. MMMM really so we don't have any Consulate here in Australia so my question "how the hell I'm I going to renew my Trinidad passport???? I have to get on a plane just to go and renew my Birth country passport :( something that the Trinidad government should of look into when they decided to close down the consulate in Sydney. What are Trinidadians to do now if we have to up date our documents for Trinidad? :( Not impress Keith Rowley

renewing Machine Readable Passports
Hi, folks. As we've found, there is no longer an honorary consul for Australia. I called the Immigration Department in Port of Spain, and was referred to the High Commission in London, and we can renew our passports through the mail by letting the High Commission handle the application and forward it on our behalf.

Send them:

Your application form (green form) making sure your signatures don't touch the borders.

Your 2 passport photos

A colour photocopy of the biodata page of your passport. You will have to send or take the original to London before your new passport is issued, but you don't have to send it with the application.

Your original naturalisation form if there have been changes since your last application.

An International Bankers Draft or Money Order for the sum of Thirty Four Pounds Sterling (£34.00 for an Ordinary (32 page) Passport) or Forty-two Pounds Sterling (£42.00 for a Business (48 page) Passport) made payable to Trinidad and Tobago High Commission (it must be drawable on a UK bank).

Need to obtain a copy of my T&T marriage certificate
I was married in Penal, Trinidad. I'm now living in Australia and an Australian citizen. I need to get a copy of my T&T marriage licence - how can I go about doing this? Is it possible to do it through the consulate? Do I need to got through an embassy? Do I need someone in T&T to go to an office on PoS or somewhere for me?

By the way, I called the phone number above and got a strange answering machine message. Is it still current?

Thanks,
Tim
