Birthcertificate
I applied for my electronic birth certificate on February 28th 2014, I purchased the money orders for two copies and received receipts but have not received the documents. I called the to office to no avail, I emailed the office no reply ,every time I check online , sorry no records found.
this office is a joke and playing with people sanity, I cannot believe that in this century with all the modern technology that these folks are so backward.

shame shame
My trini passport. Is now obsolete...I went to the consulate. Before they moved to maiden ln....the first thing that was apparent..was the level of un professionalism ..rude.....un courteous. Staff that is employed. There. ..I noticed they had. A steel pan in a show case....that said. Made in.********.there was nothing. In this place that made me feel that .was in a sanctuary..made for nationals.. After goin thru the rigga me roll ...as we say..I was told I had to come back cause. There was a problem with my name. ...now mind u I am in the usa....already. issued a passport...just wantin a renewed one so i can some sort of id in this concrete jungle....1yr. Later still no passport..I am goin to try again...wish me luck

Ridiculous waiting for passport
I never understood what takes so long for a passport to be issued. I am an American and I can get my passport in 2-3 weeks. My friends daughter is now waiting almost 5 months for her Trinidadian Passport. Our travel plans to Trinidad to see her grandmother is becoming a frustrating experience because of the inept attitude of the workers in the Trini embassy in NYC. Get your act together and be polite

No passport
It's a crying shame on trinidad...I applied for the new passport since August 2013...went to trinidad in September with the old passport.... Came back waiting..waiting....waiting for new passport....NOTHING...September, October,November ending of December I got a phone calling saying that 1 letter in my name looks like a A instead of an E ....mind u it looks like...anyways I need to fix it...I did return in early January to the office in ny with correct documents...I was told ok...go home ..u will have you passport in 4 weeks....it's now July 16 and no passport....not even seeing MR PASSPORT in sight...August is right around the corner which makes it 1year waiting on a DAM PASSPORT TO TRINIDAD... I go still wait...because I love my country...but the stupid stupid ppl need to get there dam act together...u ppl can't be dat clueless...or can you????
By the way...I have applied for my USA passport???which u can get by apply at the post office in two weeks....

passport
It is a shame that in this day and age we have to wait two and three months for a passport.nd on top of that we are told that they can give us something to travel with but we must wait in Trinidad for our passport. Are they crazy? what about peoples' jobs nobody has time to sit in Trinidad for a month or more until the passport is ready. That system is backward. This consulate is just having people go back and forth. Disgusting services.
